Centre for the History of Childhood

The first research centre in its field in the UK, the Centre for the History of Childhood promotes research into the history of childhood, both within and outside Oxford. It encourages links between historians and social scientists and childcare professionals, with a view to providing an historical dimension to contemporary approaches to children and childhood.
