Professor Stephen Tuck is the Humanities Division's Academic Advocate for Researchers. His role is to lead the Division's work enhancing opportunities and support for research staff on fixed-term contracts. His responsibilities include convening and chairing regular meetings of the Humanities Research Staff Forum; representing the Division's interests on the Research Staff Steering Committee; and leading Divisional initiatives towards fulfilling the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers.
Stephen is Professor of Modern History in the History Faculty. His research interests include modern race equality struggles in Britain and America, the relationship between religion and racism, and the writing of national history.
