Do you love drama? Do Greek and Roman myths inspire you? Are you a UK student aged 13 to 18?
If the answer to all of the above is yes, you should enter a competition which has newly been launched from the Faculty of Classics.
Students are invited to perform a piece of drama from the ancient world. Send a video of your performance to us by Friday 10 March 2023 and your work will be judged by experts from the Faculty of Classics at the University of Oxford and The Archive of Performances of Greek & Roman Drama (APGRD).
Everything you need to know and details about how to enter can be found on the competition page.
There are 4 prizes of £100 and all winners and shortlisted entries will receive a certificate. This competition is one of our outreach initiatives designed to inspire young people to find out more about classics as a subject that can be studied at university.
The University of Oxford is home to the largest Faculty of Classics in the world. Our students choose from a huge range of courses and benefit from incredible tutors, libraries and resources. Whether you want to learn languages, read literature, explore the effect of the past on the present, or learn to apply science to arts, classics at Oxford has something for everyone.
