The responsibilities of the Humanities research facilitators include:
acting as faculty members’ first point of contact for all external funding applications;
working with researchers at all career stages (from early career and post-doctoral fellows to senior faculty and professors);
working closely with several designated faculties to increase application numbers while ensuring that the highest quality applications are submitted to external funders;
visiting colleagues individually on request to provide informed, tailored support and expert advice on all aspects of research funding applications, including:
strategy and planning for obtaining research funding,
reading and commenting on the draft case for support,
advice on and costing the project budget, and
securing the necessary institutional authorisation, including liaising where necessary with Research Services and, as appropriate, colleges;
sharing best practice and collaborating as appropriate with other University and divisional colleagues to provide training and other events for academic colleagues.
