I’m a modernist scholar and a digital humanist in training. Modernist poetry’s anticipation of the age of connection, especially in the work of T.S.Eliot, was my gateway into digital humanities. My undergraduate dissertation examined various surviving hypertext editions of The Waste Land, which made me realise that texts must be handled with great critical care in their digital representations. This also feeds into my current research on how to represent visually inventive modernism and avant-garde literature in TEI.
After Oxford, I’m moving back to Nanjing, China, with my cat Ody, and to work as a teacher at Nanjing Foreign Language School.
