Margaret (Meg to most) is a candidate for Oxford's MSc in Digital Scholarship. Her research focuses on the novel as a form from the perspective of network analysis and document embeddings. The goal of her research is to develop a systematic method for identifying understudied works that might be sites of future recovery projects.
Prior to matriculating at Oxford she completed a BA in English Literature at the University of Pennsylvania (2024) with minors in Mathematics and East Asian Languages and Culture (Japanese). Her undergraduate honors thesis is titled "Mr. Wrong: George Eliot on Morality and Marriage" and focuses on the way that Eliot plays out free will dilemmas and interrogates notions of agency within the arena of marriage. She has professional experience teaching the mathematics and theory of AI, planning speaker events, and working in research labs.
